"A popular DBA tool which is buggy for the last 10 years"

Pros
Provide the same GUI interface across DBMS platforms (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle).
Have many useful tools for database administrator.
It can be a very productive tool when it works.Cons
DBArtisan became so buggy since version 8.1. due to the outsourcing of development and testing activities in Eastern Europe.
Embarcadero, the vendor, no longer performs regression test, i.e. introduction of new features break existing features.
1. Our DBA team has more than 10 DBAs, only two of them reluctanly use DBArtisan because they have used it for many years. However, they are willing to drop it as soon as there is a similar and more reliable tool is available.
2. The Professional Workbench edition has other modules such as Performance Analyst and Capacity Analyst. However, they are useless because the information provided are not useful. They are merely marketing tool to jack up the license price.Summary
I used to love DBArtissan until 2003. I would rate it 4 stars out of 5. Now it earns only 2 stars from me. After that I love to hate it because the vendor no longer has my respect. They fail to address so many user complaints.
This is a product that I heartily do not recommend! If you google for 'DBArtisan review', you can see that about the first two pages have links planted by the vendor to give positive reviews!!!
