"Great beginner tool, but not advanced enough yet"
Pros: Great rendering engine (caveats... see cons), reasonable interface, excellent plugin system
Cons: Getting a perfect render is hard to manage and difficult to set up (read, time consuming). Interface is weak, layout needs help, Camera system needs overhaul.
Summary: While Daz Studio 3 (DS3) is a step in the right direction for Daz, DS3 is still really a basic bare bones 3D app and still leaves a lot to be desired. It's the basic minimum you need to get started. The problem is that while the 3Delight rendering ... read more

Pros: Great rendering. Remarkably flexible.
Cons: User interface is difficult to navigate and program is unnecessarily complex. Tutorials are of practically no use. Limited use in animation for all but the most powerful rendering systems.

A huge collection of models. The new "elite" textures are so perfect that it is now possible to create a top-model.Cons: the organization of the content and its hierarchy could be better.

"It's a toy, ok for beginners leaning 3d art"
Pros: None really...it's still a toy
Cons: You can't import into Vue and others, which is a real drawback, you can't even import into Poser....
Summary: For professionals, it's an entirely useless....you need to have the the ability to save files that at least Poser can open...better still, save in a number of formats instead of just .daz. Give us .pz3!!!! read more
