"Extremely slow, poor made"
Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 10
Pros
A lot of features, which the price implies
Cons
1) Extremely slow, even on modern 2-core iCore, costing $1K. If your movie is 5 min long it works with decent performance, but do not even try to edit 40-min footage, each click takes few seconds
2) Many features are not convenient, at least they are done much better in other video editors I used
3)Price does not correspond qualitySummary
Do not recommend you if only you do not have very expensive desktop with 4-core processor and bunch of memory and super hi-tech video card. There are many less expensive and better made video eeditors on the market

"Don't Buy. No customer support or satisfaction"
Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 10
Pros
If it worked as advertised It would be what i need.
Cons
No Phone number to call for text support unless you pay even more money monthly. Email them and you'll see they could care less.
Summary
Paid a hundred bucks for legal software and it will not let me activate all the features. THERE IS NOBODY TO TALK TO unless you want to pay $30 for 2 months. No tech support help. You can try to email them with issues but they make you wait and then play pass the buck with your ticket(email). Nobody to talk to even in sales. Thier reply email just showed that they really don't care and that they are just going to drag me along until I quit trying. They could care less.

"Waste of time and money"
Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 10
Pros
It's featured on CNET reviews. Too bad they too do not listen to the actual customers.
Cons
Crashes, difficulty cutting clips. I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to remove a small segment of my video. Never figured it out. Now after reading these reviews by other paying customers I see why...
Summary
What a joke! Too bad Some of these tech review sites can't get it right. I mean really, do they have non-tech savy people ever test these so called simple video creating software products?
Well, they should! -
"TRULY AWFUL - Waste of my Money I want a REFUND!!!"
Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 10
Pros
Probably would be good IF IT WORKED!
Cons
Crashes/hangs when editing and producing the video's regardless of what format you choose. Googled the problem and lots of others with the same issue out there! Tech support were next to useless and didn't fix the problem, then started to just ignore me! Looking at other posts its a common problem and if you haven't got a top end machine they just turn around and blame it on whatever little thing they can. Want a refund of my nearly £70 for a product that just doesn't work.
Summary
DO NOT BUY or even bother DOWNLOADING!!

"Continual frustrating crashes..."
Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 10
Pros
Has everything one could want in a video editing program....BUT...
Cons
It crashes consistently. I have a brand new i7 processor with 8GB RAM and it just drives me insane. You honestly can't even do a single task without it crashing. Whoever thinks that this deserves a good wrap clearly is either being paid to give a good opinion, or hasn't actually tried using the program.
Summary
I wasted $$ and hours of my time on this program.

"Not worth it"
Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 10
Pros
Features, flexibility
Cons
Slows down easy, cant handle rapid execution of small clips inless you got an expensive intel processor. Pinnacle Studio, and Corel X4 are much more efficient than this software.
-
"Tech support is hopeless"
Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 10
Pros
Easy and intuitive to use and would be great if it worked. From what I have read it is probably not much better or worse than any other non professional similar products.
Cons
I have the same problems as others have reported. Frames freezing, crashes after hours of work and support that is frustrating and designed to deter me from trying to pursue a problem resolution. There appear to be some ways around the problems. Replay the video in the edit phase without any changes multiple times until all clips play without freezing and split the video into smaller and smaller movies until you get one that it is able to manage error free. This means that you will end up with a lot more DVD's than you planned for.
Summary
I'd try something else.

"Intuitive, feature rich and reliable."
Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 10
Pros
All the features I need.
Cons
None so far.
Summary
I've struggled with the unreliability of Pinnacle Systems Studio for years, buying an upgrade every so often hoping that they will have fixed the bugs, but no, it never works for very long without crashing, and you never know when it's going to happen. So far, PowerDirector 10 does not seem to suffer from these problems and I think is more intuitive, faster and with more features than Studio.

"Crashes When producing the movie"
Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 10
Pros
If it actually worked: Easy to use and has some good tools.
Cons
The program crashes everytime you try to produce the movie and Im talking about a 55 second movie all I did was trim and crop the original, I tried to produce the movie under all different options still crashed and Im using a core i5 with 8GB of ram. It also adds a cyberlink watermark if you're using the trial.
Summary
Don't waste you're time and energy on installing it.

"BAAAAAAAAAD"
Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 10
Pros
The program is free
Cons
Tried to load a standard size video and every time I did, it froze and crashed. Guess it's worth the price I paid. $0.
