"A great video editing program for beginners"
Pros: Neat UI, simple and easy to use, fun, great effects, amazing transitions, photo editor included
Cons: Sound effects aren't really "out of the box"

Pros: simple to use
Cons: Similar to the other reviews, the program is unstable and crashes every time it finishes a capture. Had to try it for myself to make sure it doesn't work.

"Plenty of good features, good against competition"
Pros: ease of use without an instruction book, many features offered, flexable interface.
Cons: Problems when using the wizard feature, interrupt and had to close several times.

Pros: It's the best of a resource hungry bunch. I've managed to produce excellent videos and slideshows with Power Director.
Cons: If you're running Windows 7 and not using the program, stop the Rich Video service in Task Manager services. Also stop it running at startup in the System Config utility, otherwise it will slow your system down to a crawl. It seems ok in XP though.
Summary: I've noticed complaints about crashing in the reviews of this product but I've tried all the big video editors and they all crash. Serious video editing requires lots of RAM, or lots of patience as you wait for each task to complete. What irritates ... read more
