    "looks ok at first"

    June 25, 2014  |   By kmkrreeves

    Version: CyberLink PowerDirector 12.0

    Pros

looks modern... can produce projects if you are careful and save it every few seconds.

    Cons

    Crashes extremely often.
EVERY time you go to burn a disc it will crash the first time, and you will lose all the customization on the disc menu (every title. everything. even if it took you hours) there is no way to say the disc menu, so the first time expect to have to re-do it.

the more you use it the more it crashes, glad I didn't purchase after first project.

    Summary

the first project I did in the 30 day trial worked great, I almost bought it, but I decided to do a few more in the trial, and every one gets worse. The first one was pretty smooth, worked great. second one, it crashed on me, it doesn't have any sort of auto save, so if you do try it make sure to save your work every time you do anything. then I tried to burn it, and after titling every chapter and moving the stuff around on the weird template that comes with it for dvd menus (only one is included, you have to download others) it crashed when I clicked burn disc. then I found out that it does not save the dvd menu in the project file, so everytime it crashes you have to start over.

first project was decievingly smooth, make a few things before you decide to purchase
