"STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE"
None. None. None.
-Fraudulent charges to credit card
-Incompetent technical support
-Outsourced customer service department
-unwillingness to support and update their own software
First, let me begin by saying I had already purchased the Cyberlink Power DVD software with the purchase of my LG Blu Ray player. This software worked for about a month and I haven't been able to play a blu ray disc since. There is no possible way to speak with a human being at this company unless you pay to do so. I decided to take it in the you know what and purchase the Power DVD Ultra 12. Thinking this should be an easy process I rented a blu ray for the night. After paying $94 for their software, I was sent an email with an activation code. The activation code was worthless. Since I purchased the software, I did receive "platinum" status which afforded me with 1 free month of phone support. Upon talking with technical support, I was immediately labeled as a criminal who was trying to illegally download their software. I was forced to email screen shots of my computer to verify I was not a pirate. I was then told they could not resolve the problem and it would have to be escalated. Meanwhile, I'm out $5 for the blu ray I rented. I told technical support I wanted a refund immediately. He told me I would have to contact another number for this. I contacted that number and was told I needed to download a form to complete and return by email, fax, or mail. This wouldn't be so bad if the company wasn't located in Germany. One thing after another with this company. I will be reporting the credit card charge as fraudulent if I don't have a refund within 10 days. I will never do business with Cyberlink again.
