"I liked the original version that V6.0"
Version: CyberLink Power2Go Essential 8.0
Pros
P2go V 6.0 worked Great and I actually Loved it!
Cons
But, When I was Given a gift of "LG GP08 Black Color, External USB Portable CD/DVD Burner and Rom" All in One, Just when I got the Hang of the V6.0, I was appalled and Angry when the 30 day Trial period had Ended, I contacted Them many times with Miss Understanding and asked that they Grant me the Code to unlock the V6.0 of the Software, They did give me the Old V5.50.3(OEM Lite), Sorry it won't Burn Video DVD, so I am Not Happy At All, No, Not One Bit!!!
Summary
I feel that Cyberlink Should, (In All Good Faith) give me the Key to Unlock the V6.0 and let me Enjoy the Gift as it was intended to be, and the Giver of this Gift of the "LG GP08 Black Color, External USB Portable CD/DVD Burner and Rom" felt very misled and are not happy Either, For what this may be Worth! CyberLink may want to change the way they Support their Customer's or they may not have Any At All, real Soon! Sincerely Unhappy Customer TKS

"cyberjunk don't buy"
Version: CyberLink Power2Go Essential 8.0
Pros
good advertised features
Cons
tech support is a joke
Summary
Unless you pay $30 for a couple months of tech support you can talk to nobody. I just wanted all the features of my legal and paid for cyberlink program to work and there is a activation issue. There is no number to call, not even for sales, and it is very apparent through thier email support system responses they could care less. That is if you get a response. If they made a good product don't you think they wouldn't be afraid to help thier customers?

"Trial isn't worth the messages..."
Version: CyberLink Power2Go Essential 8.0
Pros
Program Looks like a really easy program with tons of bells and whistles for the P-R-O-F-E-S-S-I-O-N-A-L CD Burning person.
Program has an additional "audio editing program that looks like a ton of fun for additional download.
15-day trial looks like a deal...if you want to use it to burn CD's for a solid 15 days without a breather.
THE END!Cons
Space eaten up by CyberLink's Power2GoEssentials is frighteningly huge, particularly w/ someone who wants a sleeker program, such as a smaller HD, a Flash Drive, or Laptop and the "add-on" Audio File Editing-Type Tool adds another clunky program to the first one!
Program seems confusingly complex and will give annoying pop-up messages in the system tray (which appear at every startup) if you've added something to burn to disk even once uninstalled.
Seems meant for Professionals or for business owners writing tons of data disks, etc.
15 Day Trial is eaten up upon first file burn and ticks down--relentlessly--even if you don't burn another file. Bad Idea.Summary
This program--or two programs in one--is too bulky and takes up about 15 GB by the time both of the programs are working; give or take a Gig or two, since I uninstalled it almost as quickly as I installed it, I didn't have much time to whine over the size of the de-compressed program(s). Unless you plan to burn tons of any type of disk,I would stick to the mini-"gadget" made by the same company as the "CE2GO" programs we're referring to throughout this review (of sorts) which allows the drag-n-drop-n-burn facilitation to burn those audio/data discs if you live at home or for fun mixing and matching use. I didn't like the purchase price, nor the size, of Cyber-Essentials2Go by CyberLink any more than I liked the original version of Word Perfect or MS Word. That's all I have to say. Professionals or Business owners enjoy it and it's steep price. I may re-evaluate this review if a less expensive, less bulky, and simpler version appears for us very, very casual users. Sorry for my extreme verbosity...this is the first review I've written for anything, believing other might wish to be wary...

"power2go8 -great program with the worst people ever."
Version: CyberLink Power2Go Essential 8.0
Pros
It works great It is 1/2 price others
Cons
They put a 2" wide x 1" wide tattoo on my desktop. I could not get rid of it. It followed me onto the internet where google stopped it.
It stayed on the desktop until I completely removed the program. They must live in a sewer to think doing things like that will help them.Summary
Great program -- Lousy people running it...

"Best one I ever bought"
Version: CyberLink Power2Go Essential 8.0
Pros
works great and fast, the people who said the trail version weren't notified up front have a problem reading. I skipped the trail and bought.
Cons
So far so good can't seem to find any cons.
-
"Annoying trial version. Not worth the trouble."
Version: CyberLink Power2Go Essential 8.0
Pros
No pros I can find.
Cons
Worse than spam.
Summary
I understand the value of a trial program--it is a great way to find out if you want or need it before plunking down money. But this one is over the top with constant reminders to buy it. Once is enough--just before the trial period runs out.

Not sure since I didn't keep the program...
Cons
As soon as I downloaded the program, it began bugging me to upgrade. It is a trial version. I uninstalled it immediately...
