  "Thumbs down... unfortunately."

  Pros: I could not rate the pros of the device as I could not install the drivers.

  Cons: Windows will detect the Audigy sound card, but Creative Labs' own driver-install will not; after multiple tries in various forms and with different versions of the driver-install, I finally gave up. Now, I'm no novice.. after 25+ years in the computer industry, I like to think that I have some vague idea of what I'm doing... but this stymied me, and the Creative Labs site proved no help at all; sure, it had an update for the drivers, but *it* wouldn't detect the sound card either. All things considered (inasmuch as possible)... I wouldn't bother, it's an exercise in frustration.

  I've misplaced my driver CD and don't fancy giving Creative more cash for something that they should reliably host online. (3 out of 3 Creative products that I own have had serious problems when it comes to installing their drivers from the web).

  It took me a while but I eventually got them to work, my fix is in the review above, hope it helps anyone else with the same problem.
