"**ATTENTION** Do not install"
Version: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2/Audigy 2 ZS Driver (Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP) 5/12/2005
Pros
None - doesn't work.
Cons
The installation of this driver fails with errors. For some strange reason, despite the fact that NUMEROUS other people posted this same conclusion, I charged ahead with installation. And, guess what, it doesn't work.
Summary
The Creative website has NEWER and (somewhat) FIXED drivers. Don't use this. Shame on CNET for not removing this post/download LONG AGO. Why is this still here? It doesn't work, its out-dated, and its a pain. Go to Creative, BUT be warned: installing the drivers there isn't exactly problem-free either. Creative can't seem to get a simple driver update program right. Very disappointing, for a company that has (had?) such a great reputation. During install, it locks up your system after the mandatory reboot. I did the CTL-ALT-DEL combo, and in the task manager, found half a dozen "Setup.exe" programs running. I randomly chose and stopped one, and that got me to my desktop. Still don't know if my drivers were updated properly. I have a horrible feeling I need to do a complete wipe and reinstall of my OS and software, just to fix whatever just happened to my system. Sloppy, very sloppy, Creative. Wish you were the company you used to be.

"Thumbs down"
Version: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2/Audigy 2 ZS Driver (Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP) 5/12/2005
Pros
I could not rate the pros of the device as I could not install the drivers.
Cons
Cons: Windows will detect the Audigy sound card, but Creative Labs' own driver-install will not; after multiple tries in various forms and with different versions of the driver-install, I finally gave up. .. I wouldn't bother.
Summary
If only Creative would support their "older" equipment, it would be terrific.

"Crap drivers from a company thats turning crap"
Version: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2/Audigy 2 ZS Driver (Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP) 5/12/2005
Pros
None as it crashed the computer and would not install
Cons
How can a company release drivers for their own product that almost nobody can install ? On the restart I got the blue screen before entering a constant restart cycle. Could not get the computer to start with these drivers. 0/10
Summary
What is happening at Creative these days ? Are they on self destruct ?
The fact that they cannot even supply drivers that can be installed with their own products says it all. This is the last time I spend a penny on products from this once great company. How can anybody expect to survive by selling products that you cannot use because they haven't got anyone capable of writing the software to use them ? If they go bust then there will be no sympathy from here or the vast majority of people who have had to put up with their appalling lack of service and disdain for any mug that bought one of their products. -
"The new version of this product is outstanding."
Version: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2/Audigy 2 ZS Driver (Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP) 5/12/2005
Pros
The new version of this product is outstanding but isn't the smartest pea in the pod. If you can install it, it's the best sound system available for a computer that I've ever seen or heard. My PC is louder, clearer, with more bass then with any other audio package I've ever tried. My hard drive developed a bad sector. "Dell" replaced it with a factory imaged drive. "Audigy" came pre-installed on it and I swear, my computer sounds great, again.
Cons
After reformatting my hard drive I tried to install my "Audigy" hi def sound program. It's the new version for "Vista" but it, (like the others said), told me my computer didn't have a sound card. How dumb is that? So, If you can install it, use it because it's great. If not, have a look at "SRS Audio Sandbox. And this download is as obsolete as any can get. It;'s way past time to update this download.

"how I got the drivers to install"
Version: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2/Audigy 2 ZS Driver (Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP) 5/12/2005
Pros
I got the same 'unable to find Creative sound card' error. I manually unzipped the driver .exe into a folder. I went to the drivers folder and ran the setup.exe. Now driver version 5.12.5.441 from Creative. Even after updating manually the full update program STILL can't find a supported product, so I don't have whatever else is in the package, but at least I have the latest Creative driver installed.
Cons
I tried just running the driver install-failed with above error. I tried going to devices and updating the driver (and showing it exactly what I wanted)-failed saying it wasn't better than what I already had (which was the Microsoft driver)

"It can't find my sound card"

Pros
Nada
Cons
The message was, 'unable to find Creative sound card.' Although I am running Audigy 2ZS which is performing well anyway. Whatever.
