-
"WordPerfect is always good but. . . . ."
Version: Corel WordPerfect Office X5
Pros
As always, revealing hidden codes
Cons
Sometimes it's difficult to import graphics.
Summary
There is NOT a significant difference between X5 and X4, at least not a $150 difference for me.
-
"It's a great product with PDF included."
Version: Corel WordPerfect Office X5
Pros
Olease see above.
Cons
A price of $139.00 just to download a copy is ridiculous. You can't even buy this product from anyone except www.corel.com
Summary
price wise it's ridiculous, but it's a nicely put together product.
-
"Great again"
Version: Corel WordPerfect Office X5
Pros
GUI is consistent with precedent version so easy to use
Additional compatibility work fine for me
Respect the language and keyboard setCons
Some minimal glitches found in importing MS Office (docx) in WordPerfect but not all of them.
Summary
Still the best for me because I can use it for event older document version than Word and my work (international) need me to be able to import from all kind of format to actually work / edit on it. Just Great.

"Very good program, but ..."
Version: Corel WordPerfect Office X5
Pros
How well it works with .docx documents and especially PDF documents.
Cons
Nuance PaperPort is supposed to be included. It isn't. I sent an email to Corel about this, but after 3 days, I still haven't heard back from them.
Summary
WordPerfect is still superior to Microsoft Word. It is much easier to use and the reveal codes feature is exceptional.
-
"Outstanding as it has always been"
Version: Corel WordPerfect Office X5
Pros
WordPerfect does everything and more than other wordprocessors, but does it in a more intuitive way and without hassle. OpenOffice is a pure Word-clone and as such has the same annoyances. Nothing comes close to WordPerfect, nothing.
Cons
There must be cons, but I cannot find any right now, except the price to upgade perhaps.
Summary
It's document-based, not paragraph-based, its sheer power is second to none and it has things like 'reveal codes' and 'make it fit', it's got tons of keyboard shortcuts that help productivity, it is highly customizable and so on and so on. It was once the very best wordprocessor and it still is, only the whole wide world has gone Microsoft Office. God knows why, because I don't.
-
"There's better alternatives."
Version: Corel WordPerfect Office X5
Pros
Has word document.
Cons
Expensive, and others are better.
Summary
Openoffice.org is free and does what this program offers.
-
"Still the Tops"
Version: Corel WordPerfect Office X5
Pros
-native PDF modification
-REVEAL CODES !!!
- Full compatibility with older versions
-Easier than Word
-Power: less keystrokes to do complex things like tables of contents, etc.Cons
It's not free
Summary
WordPerfect was floundering for a while years ago, but they found themselves since Corel purchased. You will not understand why all word processors don't work this easily.
-
"I found WP 2B as easy 2 use as any other word product."
Version: Corel WordPerfect Office X4
Pros
The first thing was the ease in which you can change the margins. Second was the
ability with which WP is compatible.Cons
I have not found a con yet.
