"Worthless application."
Version: Corel WinDVD Pro 11
Pros
None. The applocation does not work.
Cons
Computer freezes when you try to watch a DVD with Corel WinDVD. You cannot even get out of the application using the task manager. The only option is to force shut down the computer and reboot. The application simply doesn't work.

"Worked ONCE only"
Version: Corel WinDVD Pro 11
Pros
Got version 10 to play ONE blu-ray and it worked fine, but after that it won't even work any more.
Cons
Both version WinDVD "Pro" 10 and 11 have some kind of issue and crash immediately on Splash Screen before the program even starts. Have contacted customer support. We'll see if they can offer some suggestions but I am doubtful since they haven't fixed the issue from versions 10 to 11. I can't be the ONLY one experiencing this.
Summary
I want my money back to buy a program that works. I'm slapping myself for buying two different versions of this program.

"Newer versions keep getting worse"
Version: Corel WinDVD Pro 11
Pros
None at all.
Cons
Won't play, crashes and locks my computer.
Summary
There hasn't been a decent version of WinDVD since Version 9. WinDVD 2010 is fair, WinDVD 10 doesn't even work. Since Corel got this product from Intervideo is has gone downhill. Get some new programmers, please. Don't buy it. Try the free and if you like it think about buying it. But think long and hard.

"Personally I like PowerDVD better"
Version: Corel WinDVD Pro 11
Pros
Works as advertized. Clear playback of both BD, DVD media and media files.
Cons
User interface is a bit constrained but provides most operations you might want, just a bit stupid in set up.

"Blu-Ray doesn't work"
Version: Corel WinDVD Pro 11
Pros
nice program
Cons
doesn't work
ugly awkward interfaceSummary
It says it can play Blu-Ray disks. It can't. This is like PowerDVD, which also says it can play Blu-Ray disks and can't. I wasted $140 on PowerDVD, and another $40 on Corel WinDVD because in both cases they lied, saying their software can play Blu-ray disks when they cannot. It's a giant fraud. Don't fall for it.
