"Why the hell is Yahoo toolbar necessary?"
Version: Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI
Pros
Like other graphic editors.
Cons
There are BIG yahoo toolbar which contains unnecessary (at least for graphics editing) buttons like yahoo search, yahoo mail, yahoo music etc. I closed the toolbar but next time I started the program it appeared again. It seems like that I cannot permanantly close the toolbar. What the hell is wrong with it?

"Great!"
Version: Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI
Pros
A great program to use to make, edit and correct graphics and images. Althought this isn't my favorite version of PSP, it's still a good one... any version from 7+ is great! This one is a bit tricky to use, but you'll get used to it after a while and much practice with it.
Cons
Only a 30-day trial. A bit tricky for the novice with PSP, but, a great program!

"Still a good program, but this version has a tendency to hang"
Version: Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI
Pros
This is still a great alternative to Photoshop. Does most of what PS does at a fraction of the cost.
Cons
Unless you need the color changer or additional RAW access, there's no real reason to upgrade from PSP-X.
I've been using PSP since the early JASC versions and--until now--they've all been stable. This version has a frequent tendency to hang, necessitating a forced shutdown & restart (on more than one computer, so not related to the particular computer).
Hopefully they'll get this patched soon.

"Each Version Better Than Previous"
Version: Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI
Pros
I've been using PSP since version 3.
This 11 version is definitely oriented to photo management.
There are new tools specifically designed for photo acquisition, retouching and sharing.
There are some new filters (like the "Time Machine") but they are only regarding photographic images(I think because Corel devoloped Corel Painter for artistic purposes, however PSP and Painter can be used together)
Some controls have a different interface but almost all function are still familiar.
The Browser function has been changed (again!).It was explorer-like (with all files and folders in the same page to navigate within),now you have a "collection" of folders (which of course you can add as you want).Being now PSP photo dedicated, browser has tagging and calendar tools to organize better your albums.
Cons
All cons for me are related to the new browser.
I preferred the previous explorer-like version. Moreover i can't find a good place to put it without covering the opened images (i must close and open it each time)

"It keeps getting better"
Version: Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI
Pros
Have been using PSP since it was Shareware and it has proven better with every revision. XI brings to fruition all the laborious functions I had been using into single-button selections (and better than me in many cases.) All I can say about this version is "WOW".
