"scheduled tasks not supported in win7"
Version: Core FTP Pro 2.1 build 1643
Pros
awesome program except below
Cons
does not support tasks in win7.
Summary
when you create a list of tasks, the next time you log in the list is not present though tasks are running you can not edit them or delete them. they are out of control. it's not disclosed on their website. they would not honor under warranty. they would not fix under service plan. there is no eta for solution as of 3/9/10. Mediocre rating because task are extremely important to us.

"Had problems with remote directory listings"
Version: Core FTP Pro 2.0.1522
Pros
GUI was easy enough to work with, intuitive. Features set was good. Program was stable. Installation was smooth.
Cons
In working with some ftp sites, had difficulty getting a remote directory listing when connecting. (other ftp clients worked with no tweaking). Ended up having to move to another client for this reason.

"On the tin"
Version: Core FTP Pro 1.3c.1447.6
Pros
At last, an ftp programme that does what it says on the tin!
I am now able to upload and download my sites without all the rubbish that Frontpage dumps on the server.
Cuts out half of the server space required and half the time that it takes to upload sites. Cuts down on bandwidth too if that is an issue.

"Gets the job done."
Version: Core FTP Pro 1.3c.1447.6
Pros
Does exactly what it's made to do. It hasn't crashed once and doesn't hog up computer resources. It is simply the only FTP software you will need. The trial is also for 45 days to really let you get a feel of the software. An FTP account is usually provided by a web hosting service. It is the best way to update a website and its content. It is also a very good way to upload or download multiple files to or from your FTP account. You can get a free FTP account at 0catch, cafe150, 250free, etc.
Cons
None.

"Core ftp does the job and is reasonably priced too!"
Version: Core FTP Pro 1.3c.1447.3
Pros
This is a really good ftp client program. I have been using it for several small web sites and find is very easy to use. It hardly took me any time to get my site set up and the files transferred. It has all the features that I need including a sync and compare function. I have used other ftp programs at my place of employment but when I needed one for my own use, I decided to give Core a try. I am happy I did! Another thing I really like about it, is you get free updates and support instead of having to pay every year a "subscription" fee like the other two popular ftp programs. Oh, did I mention it is a reasonable cost.
Cons
The text size in the program is a bit small. Must have been coded by some young engineers.

"Crashed on first use"
Version: Core FTP Pro 1.3 build 1423.01
Pros
I've used this client in the past. It preformed fairly well.
Cons
It crashed on the very first time I to upload some pictures to my website. This version is unstable and unacceptable for use as a ftp client. There are too many other clients out there that work out of the box. I'm not going to waste my time troubleshooting this one. I recommend going with SmartFTP.

"Loaded with amazing features"
Version: Core FTP Pro 1.3
Pros
Drag and drop enabled, very user friendly, scheduling feature, template feature, Secure SFTP integration, HIPAA compliant... all the features are listed in their site and very unique to this client
Cons
Scripting help is not adequate, scheduling is very cool but needs to be beefed-up some more so as the renaming feature. All of these of course are things I personally want and may not apply to most users since most FTP clients don't offer them in the first place. Hmmmm....maybe I shouldn't include this in my review. I hate to put a negative twist on a VERY positive product.
