"This one works. the missing link of itunes"
Version: CopyTrans 2.37
Pros
GREAT- will reliably recreate playlists in CORRECT order, as well as completely restoring your itunes.(even purchases and artwork) Nice informative interface and fast. Great price too.
Cons
-wish I had found it sooner. I really wish the the song length edits were retained. They seem open to feedback.
Summary
Tried several others, - this is the only one that will reliably recreate playlists in order, as well as restoring your itunes. Nice interface and fast. Great price too. If you are really strapped and need a free alternative- try YAMIPOD it's free, but slow, and a little finicky and clunky- but if you have more time than cash it will do the job, otherwise save some stress and just get CopyTrans it's well worth it.

"The most complete iPod to iTunes import I tested so far"
Version: CopyTrans 2.37
Pros
CopyTrans took care of everything: songs, playlists, ratings, videos, podcasts, artworks.
Amazing!Cons
Definitely none.
Summary
I liked the fact that CopyTrans allowed me to fully rebuild my iTunes library from my iPod with all the data that took me ages to create, like my playists, ratings and so on.

"It worked as described, and worth every penny"
Version: CopyTrans 2.31
Pros
I ran out of room on my internal HD. I bought a 2540GB ?Passport? drive
> and moved My Music/ITunes to the F: drive. What a mess!!!!
> I don?t know what happened, but I had duplicates, lost music, multiple
> libraries. Thanks for bailing me out. I was skeptical, but it worked as
> you described and it was worth every penny.
> Everything was restored from my Nano exactly as I left it.
Cons
> It is interesting that the program ?does not install? like other
> programs. I have an .exe in a folder that I called Copy Trans, but I couldn't
> find it in Start, Programs until I installed a different version.

"Won't save playlists to Folders in proper order..."
Version: CopyTrans 2.31
Cons
All I want is this: I want to back-up my playlist to a folder, and I want the files in the folder to be saved in the same order as in the iPod playlist. Copytrans doesn't do it. Copytrans allows you to back up according to "track number", but CD "track numbers" are irrelevant when playlists include more than one CD. This would be an excessively easy feature to include. So easy, that it's irritating that they don't and won't do it.
ONE STAR.

"The best software I ever bought!"
Version: CopyTrans 2.31
Pros
You made my life a lot easier. I've been to at least 6 sites that claim they can do what you can, but they must think everyone in this world is a computer wiz. They exect me to know things like what folder iTunes is stored in, and what port my ipod is in, I DONT KNOW ANY OF THAT STUFF! With your program, i press a few buttons and I'm done. It's just too bad most things in this world aren't as easy to use as your site.
CopyTrans imported all my iPod songs, videos, playlists, ratings, podcasts, artworks to iTunes in a minute.
Thank you CopyTrans!!! Thank you!

"AWESOME"
Version: CopyTrans 2.15
Pros
It worked just as I heard it would. It was easy to purchase and use. I saved tons of time loading my new iPod to my old computer. What a great idea!
Cons
I wasn't sure if I had purchased it the first time or not. I did end up loading it and it wasn't that hard to run.

"Fabulous!"
Version: CopyTrans 2.15
Pros
CopyTrans is FAB-U- LOUS software?.I am a 66 year old retired grandfather who received an Ipod Touch for Christmas. I love the Ipod and had loaded over a thousand songs since New Year. In March I purchased a new computer and did not know that I could not upload my Ipod music and photos to my new computer with the iTunes software. I purchased a commercial software program from a major retailer that was going to fix the problem. Well after two days of trying to get the software to load and sync with the ITunes software, I gave up and started Googleing. (Should have Googled first) And Voila?, WindSolutions offered a free 14 day trial for Copy Trans a software program that purported to do exactly what I was trying to do. Well last night at about 11PM, I downloaded the software and within an hour or so I had transferred my 250 free songs and immediately purchased the software online and finished the iTune upload to the new computer. Copy Trans is easy to install, and use. I liked it so well that I purchased the other three complimentary programs. I am very happy to report that my Ipod is syncing with the new computer and not a single file/song or picture was lost. I consider myself a slightly above average computer user and I had absolutely no problems with the software. Your software worked great and I am looking forward to using ILibs on my wife?s new Ipod Nano. I am keeping your web site on my computer in case I, or anyone I know needs the repair software. Again thanks for the superb software.

"A huge mistake"
Version: CopyTrans 2.15
Cons
After purchasing CopyTrans (formerly CopyPod), paying with PayPal and registering with the registration number e-mailed to me, I was left in a perpetual loop which kept asking me over and over to pay.
It downloaded albums instead of songs regardless of what settings I selected, and it failed to grab album art.
When I asked CopyTrans support for a refund I was put through a week long childish dialogue with one of their "techs," to whom I sent my logs and did what I was asked.
I removed CopyTrans from my computer and purchased and installed Media Widget from Bootstrap. It performs exactly as advertised for the same $19.
CopyTrans was a real mistake. Spare yourself. Read the CNet reviews, and select Media Widget or any other transfer software that has had favorable user reports.
