Sometimes you have to connect to itunes to rebuild the library, but I have never synced with Itunes.

I have managed my 3500 song library with this free program on iPhone3g, iPhone4 and now iPhone4S. It is exactly what I need and it is a breeze.

Where do I begin? Small installation file, uses a minimal amount of space on my PC, does what the average iPod user (me) wants it to: add and edit music tracks to my iPod quickly and easily. Copytrans manager does not ask like iTunes does, if it wants me to wipe away my iPod because it simply wouldn't do that. iTunes has a long way to go to reach anywhere near this little prodigy tool.

I love it. No more stupid and complicated as I-don't-know-what iTunes. Gets the job done fast and perfectly. If only it also could transfer apps and movies, it would be priceless. One of the best iTunes alternatives out there.

Pros
iTunes rearranged my music library in ways I did not like and created numerous duplicates. So I was happy to find CopyTrans Manager. You connect your iPod and it displays all the music on it. You drag and drop from your music library on your computer and click a button to sync to the iPod. That's it. Done.
Cons
It is a bit slow in some cases. I have a big music library, more than 30 MB, and often don't remember what I have added since the last time I used CopyTrans Manager, so I just drag the whole library to the program. It takes quite a while to churn through the whole thing. If I just dragged a few files or a folder it would go much quicker, I imagine.
