This program offers a wide set of options for backing up, updating, and synchronizing files. CopyTo Synchronizer can compress files and allows you to keep previous versions of updated files. The program offers a number of different archive options, including full and differential. The interface is handy, compact, and supports color-customization, but it seems best suited for advanced users. You can select files to back up or synchronize using the right-click context menu in Explorer. The program can save backup settings in projects, but offers no tools for viewing and managing them, so we wouldn't recommend the program for corporate use. And while you will not find a full-blown, built-in scheduler, you can set the priority of a job. We also appreciated the ability to automatically launch a program before or after a job occurs. This simple, inexpensive tool will be especially convenient for power users who work with the same files on several computers, at home or in the office.Publisher's description
From Kish Designs :CopyTo Synchronizer offers a wide set of options for backing up, updating, and synchronizing files. Use it to safely synchronize files between a desktop PC and a notebook PC, move files between the home and office with removable media, or update multiple computers on a network, with the multiple folder settings. As you synchronize files, you can filter certain filenames and exclude specified folders using wildcards. You can display a preview window and check for disk space before you start the copying process. You can save and recall settings that you enter into CopyTo using the CopyTo project file, which has the CP2 extension. You can start synchronizing using the settings in the project file by double-clicking.

Version: CopyTo Synchronizer 3.11
"The best easiest-to-use backup ever!"
Pros: I've used this product for years. It is reliable and fast. Programming is simple and results are effortless. The interface is a bit busy, but all the info is useful. Buy it -- you'll like it. I can't live without it.
Cons: The main control window is a bit complicated (not the most intuitive) because they wanted to keep it small, but it didn't take very much time to get used to it.

Version: CopyTo Synchronizer 3.11
"Smooth, intuitive, reliable, flexible, smart and inexpensive"
Pros: I've used a lot of backup programs over the years, never anything so easy to use, so reliable and just plain flexible. When I think I need to do something different, I look into the options and there it is, waiting for me to get smart enough to use it.
Bargain and great value.
Cons: Doesn't have an FTP server built into it. Yet.

Version: CopyTo Synchronizer 3.11
"A must-have if you have to juggle files!"
Pros: I love this program. Use it nearly every day. I use a laptop at work, a home computer, and I also store files on four jump drives and two external hard drives. Copy To Synchronizer is the only way I've found to ensure that I'm keeping the files I want and am tossing the versions I don't want. It's a fast and error-free way to keep your files organized.

Version: CopyTo Synchronizer 3.11
Pros: The interface is well designed and allows the operator to define desired operation and the source and target directories easily. It provides a review of the intended operation before it is executed and allows the user to de-select items
Cons: None, that I have found.
Summary: This is one piece of software that I consider to be a staple in my inventory. I use it frequently to synchronize directories or copy files. I don't understand why, but when I use Copy To Synchronize to copy files (by setting up an empty target dir... read more >>
