From by-art.com :From the developer: "The program allows you to compose a screensaver from your images, audio and video clips. You may add 3d text captions, animated sprite objects and lense effects. The result can be saved into a compact screensaver file (scr) or as simple installer (exe).
"Features include background display of images (jpg, png, bmp) with transitions, audio playback (mid, mp3, wav, wma etc.), video playback (avi, mov, mpeg, wmv), animated objects and text, lense effects, an ability to add multiple files and whole folders, support for multiple configurations, HTML help documentation. More animations are available for download from the author's web site."

Version: Cool Captions 3.1
Pros: I have been using Cool Captions for just over 4 years now and I love it to pieces! In that price range there is no rival to it. Cool Captions has arrived at file size of 996 kb, but now it is 154 megabytes on my disc. "Animations" - or rather Floating PNG objects - now stand at about 1000! Possibilities for creativity are nearly endless. It has been through Win98, WinME, WinXP, and if it does not work on Vista - the Vista will have to go! I have been giving Screensavers to friends for years and they all think highly of my work, but it is due to a clever design of this application in largest part - I am only moderately good at Graphics, but know nothing of developing or scripting. If I had a Website I would post "my" Cool Captions Screensavers for the World to see and admire. but I haven't, so the best alternative for you is to invest these few dollars and find out how much you can do with this wonderful Engine! If you get good at it - there won't be that many Screensavers on the Net to rival your work.
Cons: could do with updating slightly to get rid of mention of.mng extention - it is not popular and confusing to average user.

"Everybody got a screesaver for Xmas!"
Summary: This is a no brainer and the Screen Savers are oh! so cool! Only wish I'd had some of the extra features from bought version, but even for a trial, this is way too cool!
