"Excellent Concept, Time Saving, and Recipe Storage Tool"

June 19, 2014  |  By angry_fedup_user

 |  Version: Cook'n Recipe Organizer 11.3.1

Pros

Love the web capture, love the ability to store all my handwritten recipe notes, love that it builds menus, and planning document. Appreciate that you can export to MSWord and do the formatting and design tweaking there.

Cons

Takes a bit of patience, but if you keep trying you will get your tech questions answered.

Summary

This is my recommended recipe organizer tool! I refer all my friends that are chefs, cooks, and moms to this product for recipe storage and I would recommend it for you also!

"Good concepts poor programing"

February 18, 2014  |  By FRED1354

 |  Version: Cook'n Recipe Organizer 11.1.7

Pros

The capture recipes from the internet is great as is the importing recipes by scanning paper recipes.

Cons

However the scanning import does not work and printing can by a problem. The cloud feature also never worked.

Support is very poor. You have to sent and email and maybe in 3 or 3 days they reply asking what problem is again. Again 2 or 3 days later the answer is always the same - reinstall.

If that does not work then they just drop you and you are out of luck.

"So far, I'm loving it!"

January 15, 2014  |  By St_Amos

 |  Version: Cook'n Recipe Organizer 11.1.1

Pros

I love the ability to capture recipes with the click of a button from my Pinterest boards and that I can scan printed recipes and get them saved in my Cook'n library.

Cons

I wish everyone that I love to spend time with had it so I could share cookbooks and recipes with them.

Summary

I have had this for about 2 months now and it has done everything they advertise. It has been really easy to take all my recipes on the go and especially been helpful when I create shopping lists on my phone when I have a few meals planned for the week. It is really nice to be able to use my tablet in the kitchen instead of bringing my laptop to take up space or having to print off recipes just to use them once for a meal. I had a couple of problems with the sync at first, but once I figured it out it has been working great. I have recommended it to family members and they all like it so far as well. This is by far the best thing I have used for recipe software.

"Excellent!"

January 14, 2014  |  By cooknfan

 |  Version: Cook'n Recipe Organizer 11.1.1

Pros

Innovative and useful!

Cons

There's a definite learning curve to understand all of the different features and customizations.

Summary

Cook'n is very feature-rich and can be a powerful tool to make good meal-planning, shopping, and eating habits!

You can find and organize recipes, display a live recipe feed from your favorite recipe websites, plan menus, create shopping lists, and even synchronize recipes between devices (mobile apps are free, folks)! It's fully customizable--which is great--and you can modify anything from the default brands, ingredients, and units of measure included with the software to even the pricing of the items when Cook'n creates a shopping list so that it's more appropriate for your area.

Warning: the live recipe feed, pinterest capture, and multitude of other features can make Cook'n pretty addicting -- don't forget to actually make and eat all those yummy recipes! ;)

"No Better Software Exists!"

January 08, 2014  |  By James-Bradley

 |  Version: Cook'n Recipe Organizer 11.1.1

Pros

Capture internet recipes, scan printed recipes, Cook'n cloud. It's all there!

Cons

I ran out of personal recipes to enter. Dang. I guess I'll have to use the capture feature to find more on the internet!

Summary

I first discovered cook'n about 7 or 8 years ago. But, I've found Cook'n again and it's even better!

Now, with version 11, I can scan my printed recipes. I can even use the cloud to see my recipes on my phone or tablet With the free mobile apps! This is great!

Cons

Does everything...but cook the food for me!

Summary

Cook'n is easy to use and powerful too. It's a great way to organize all of my own recipes. I like that I can install it on all of my home computers (my Mac laptop and my PC Desktop) AND I love that my wife and I can install the free Cook'n App on our iPhones and iPads. Best of all, we created one Cook'n Cloud account and logged into that account from all of our computers and mobile devices and Cook'n keeps all of the recipes in sync automatically!

The features in Cook'n are unmatched. There is no other recipe software or recipe app that will do the things that Cook'n will do. The Live Recipe Feed is inspiring and gives me great new ideas of what to make for dinner.

The ability to capture internet recipes and save them to my own personal cookbook with one click is magical. And, the ability to then modify the recipes I find on the internet to scale them, tweak them to suit my tastes, add them to menus and make shopping lists, and sync them to my mobile device for easy access in the kitchen is super convenient and powerful.

The recipe sharing features in Cook'n are equally powerful and helpful. I like posting yummy recipes that I find to Facebook with one click and just letting people know what I made for dinner. I like pinning good recipes to Pinterest for my followers to see. When I e-mail recipes from Cook'n, they look amazing because of the cool themes in Cook'n.

The ability to print a family cookbook and export it to Word or PDF so I can send it to my local copy shop to have it copied and bound is really cool. That way, I can make professional looking cookbooks to give as a gift to family and friends.

The company has outstanding support services and a 200% guarantee that is unlike any other. If you are not satisfied, they will not just refund your money...they will also BUY you the recipe software of your choice. That's simply amazing and it goes to show that the product is fantastic. I highly recommend it.
