Pros
Handles files with corrupted frames from HDTV recordings very well. I have marginal OTA signal for television at times resulting in recordings that are missing frames or are corrupted. This software handles them. No audio/video sync problems.
Cons
Haven't found any.
Summary
Does what I was looking for, converting files that aren't perfect without stalling or just freezing up.
The VOB files stay in a folder even if you don't burn a DVD. You can then work with the VOB file however you want.
This works with dvr-ms files very well which is hard to find these days. -

Never found out,...would not downloadd after two attempts

April 10 Immediately after second unsuccessful attempt to install I picked up the "1.delta search" - malware that hi-jacked my browser. Took me another 6 hours to contain it. It can only have arrived with this download attempt.
Summary
I chose CNET downloads for added download 'safety' but I have read other reviews of similar experiences picking up viruses on 'CNET download' and am surprised that this crap gets through your screening (?) process.
