"An ok game if you if you set goals low enough"

Pros

Characters can move by jumping, After a 2-3 weeks (2 hours a day) in an arena map you can fight people about your same level in an arena map.

Cons

Botters/ Hackers. To play competively it is pay to win. Cash shop rules all servers. Top players spend thousands of real dollars or use bots or have played many years. Company constantly introduces new features that drastically change game and make prior choices of character almost meaningless. Company is totally unresponsive to community. 50% or more do not speak English now.

Summary

I have played since 2005. It truly was a great game and had potential to be the best. They chose to develop sales in game of everything that had made it a game. It became a shopping cart game. Buy anything with real money. Game changes completely destroyed many players. Actual gameplay for substantial character improvement is not important. At one time it was.

I now have very modest goals in game, almost no goal at all. I watch tv while I play, and basically make little effort to have great characters. No amount of effort will help. Only real money, a lot of real money, or botting succeeds. Even if given 10 thousand dollars of items ( some or many have spent that) I would not play more intensely. They never developed game, they devolved it. They developed sales.

I have played LOTR, Allods, Battle of the Immortals, World of Tanks and Dark Eden each for several months. World of Tanks was great, but after 3,500 battles it became uninteresting. LOTR was ok. Both are free to play and enjoy without having to spend great amounts or any amount of money.

Conquer WAS a great game. WAS. could have been ....
