Probably the most noticeable change in this release is that we've signed the java client. This means that repeat visitors to your site will not have to redownload the client (If they're using IE). If you don't want to offer the signed client then all you have to do is open up the /variables/globaljava.var file and change signedcab=true to false.

We have also added additional security tools that can automatically place server bans on users that flood, limits some commands that update some IRC clients Internal Address List (IAL), and a setting for the server that when set prohibits users from private messaging other users unless they're in the same channel or on each others buddy/watch lists. These settings have been added to reduce the ability for certain types of clients to abuse users online.
