"Great look, Great Idea, Kludgy Execution"
Version: ConceptDraw 7
Pros
Excellent variety of templates; Graphics are awesome; Export feature is cool too.
Cons
General operation of the package is spotty, requiring WAAAAAY too much effort to get a usable graphic.
When I walked away from my computer, and my screensaver engaged, it crashed the program. Not cool. Many more examples...
Not for pro use.Summary
Great concept, not ready for prime time.

"Good, but not good enough"
Version: ConceptDraw 7
Pros
This application looks really nice, with nice colours and icons. It also has a great variety of diagram types and objects you can choose from.
Cons
It's on the technical part that this application fails to impress. It's inaccurate, and you feel that you can't fully control the result. Lines skew, connections break, and it takes a lot of effort to make the coordinates right. So when you've sit for hours making a perfect house plan, you just want to zoom out to get an overview, and suddenly some points have moved by themselves. This is unacceptable, and I would certainly not recommend it for professional use. It's just a toy, and not worth $299. I would think of more like $30-50 maybe... In fact, for more specific diagram needs, you can get much better applications for free!
