From Photodex :CompuPic is like a photo album for your computer with a whole lot more. It's an easy-to-use digital-content manager that combines high-speed browsing with a full set of common editing functions such as cropping, autocorrecting, rotating, and resizing. CompuPic includes a picture index and allows for slide shows with more than 100 transition effects. Version 6.22 adds JPEG 2000 support, more than 25 new slide-show transitions, improved cropping and resizing, an integrated address book for e-mailing photos, and dozens of new supported file types.

"Many great features, but also some significant limitations"
Pros: Great variety of automatic picture sorting options. You can do a point or box zoom, along with pans. A picture can have an associated audio file play. EXIF picture information. Outstanding implementation of transition effects - the best of any program! A nice set of associated features: screen saver creation, batch conversions, picture website uploads, poster & postcard creation, external hard copy emailing.
Cons: No ability to manually sort pictures. Overly confusing array of zoom operations. No mouse control of picture navigation during Slide Show mode. No background AND foreground audio capability. Picture EXIF information was often faulty. It also couldn't be updated. Almost a total lack of picture captioning ability. Crude printing ability.

"Very Dated Program, Has Not Been Updated In 3 Years"
Pros: Was A very Good Program In its Time, Allows For Many File Types. There Is A Pro version With Enhanced ********.
Cons: Very Dated Program, Has Not Been Updated In 3 Years. I talked To Them Once They Said They Had Plans To Fix Some Of The Bugs. But here Is Is 3 Years Later And Nothing.

Summary: This is a continually upgrading product that does the basics very well. A little showy in some areas and should be offering some better options on the picture indexing and editing fronts.
