"Compares 2 sheets as long as you have them setup right"
Version: Compare Sheets 1.1.1
Pros
Takes a process that used to take 1-2 hours and completes it in mere seconds
Allows changing processes now that we can use this utilityCons
You have to be cautious and make sure that you have all the parts right before trying to use it - after that it's smooth sailing
Summary
Love love love it!!!! I can compare hundreds of lines of data in a couple of seconds and tailor the results I want.
If you are using Excel 2007 or newer YOU MUST SAVE THE EXCEL SHEET IN VERSION 97-2003 for this to work!!!

Hi
I am author of Compare Sheet. Reading above comments I see people does not know how to use Compare Sheets free program, so I decided to give more details on how to use it.
1. You need to prepare data before to pass it to Compare Sheet
-create new .xls file
-in sheet1 and sheet2 paste data you want to compare keeping column header rows. Check TestBook.xls file to see how data in sheet1 and sheet2 must looks like.
-save file and exit excel
2. Open prepared file in Compare Sheet. Data in sheet1 is loaded and displayed as table1 and data in sheet2 is loaded and displayed as table2
3. Select reference field by selecting column name for table1 and table2
4. Select criteria to be used for comparing tables(sheets)
5. Type name of result sheet or check auto check box
6. If you want result to be placed in new file fill result file field. If you leave result file field empty result will be placed in source file in sheet named according to your entry in step 5
7. Click on compare button to compare tables/sheets
Note:
- data in column you use to compare tables must be homogeneous ( of same type - all numbers or all text, but not both).
- reference filed columns of both tables must be of same data type - both numbers or both text
- it is recommended to convert columns containing formulas to text before to compare data -
"Doesn't work"
Version: Compare Sheets 1.1.1
Pros
Easy to install.
It managed to open the first file just fine.
Cons
There is no box to select a second file to compare to (or if there is, it's hiding). Whenever I click "Compare" regardless of how many files I've selected, I get an error message.
