    "Light and magnificent!"

    February 13, 2013  |   By almoria

    Pros

i downloaded 100 complicated types of malware(30 viruses and worms, 30 trojan horses, 10 rogue security software websites, and 30 rootkits from my old vxheavens kit, which i updated), then i personally tested this by installing comodo internet sec. free and it blocked all of these new malwares completely, but 1 trojan because this trojan was made of java and comodo couldn't detect it. The rogue antiviruses were blocked off by comodo. To test comodo removal scores, I installed all these malwares on a spare pc. Then when i installed it, it removed every single virus very thoroughly except for the java virus. None of the antiviruses can detect a java virus except Panda.

    Cons

Can't detect a java virus. Did not remove all registry files left behind.

    Summary

In all my testing free antivirus approximately ~:

    Avg: Blocks 97/100 Removes 95/100
    Aviara: Blocks 92/100 removes 92/100
    Avast: Blocks 99/100 removes 90/100
    Panda: Blocks 98/100 removes 93/100
Comodo Internet free: Blocks 99/100 removes 97/100
ZoneAlarm free: Blocks 96/100 removes 95/100
    Ad-aware free: Blocks 90/100 removes 96/100

These were all tested in 2 days prior to the invention and downloads of the malware.

Yep. Two different antivirus programs may conflict with each other. It may finally cause your computer to slow down.

I use XP on all four of our computers.
I've been using the free Comodo Internet Security Premium.
I read that free Avast does a few things that Comodo does NOT.
So I also just installed Avast.
Is there a problem or conflict running TWO different programs?
