"COMODO should be the FIRST because it's THE BEST."

    November 25, 2012  |   By salesalex

    Version: Comodo Internet Security 5.10

    Pros

    -faster browsing
    -browsers do not 'freeze' anymore.
-unsigned programs can not 'talk' to internet anymore without my permission.
    -better security for free.

    Cons

-there is no RESET BUTTON so be carefull and write down if you make some changes after installation.
-first scan of the system and scheduled scans are slow but you can stop them and start when you want.

    Summary

I had uninstalled AVAST and installed COMODO I.S. a few days ago on two computers (the same installation file on 32bit and 64bit computers) and computers run much better ,boot time is the same but internet browsing is 300% faster and I had no freezing browser not even one time. I had notice that COMODO uses more ram memory - 200 MB in idle but I think that it cashes that on disc because everything run very fast even on my old computer (2,4GHz-756MB). -If you don't like comodo dragon and geek buddy uncheck them when you start the installation of COMODO I.S. and the installation will be much faster.
-And if your internet provider gave you DNS settings be sure to uncheck COMODO SECURE DNS servers because maybe you will be unable to connect to internet after that - otherwise I recommend COMODO SECURE DNS servers because I have that and everything works OK.

    Updated on Feb 25, 2013

Still works great - everything is fast

    Updated on Mar 24, 2013

few weeks ago I've installed "Comodo I.S." on very old laptop with 1,1GHz single core processor and 500MB ram and it works good .
.btw. I recommend downloading comodo from official site because there you can find most up to date version ...

"The Best Virus Hunter That's Free!!"

    November 22, 2012  |   By TheZeroAngelTruth

    Version: Comodo Internet Security 5.10

    Pros

    *Stable
*Effective with a few minor tweaks
*It doesn't get false positives! (I thought it did but every-time it has said that its a virus it actually is right!)
    *Great real-time detection and protection

    Cons

*Needs a strong Processor to be at 100% effectiveness (x3 Core or Higher - Tested on AMD x4 and x2 Athlons)
*Can be a bit slow with scanning multiple drives.
    *Default settings aren't enough protection.

    Summary

I have used this for about 4 years and I will admit it has improved greatly! I will soon be getting the full version mainly I know it doesn't offer too much more in retrospect but it will support the company and allow it to grow! **PLEASE SUPPORT GOOD MERCHANDISE!!**

"Works well (though not always). Not always easy to use"

    November 14, 2012  |   By Muisje?1e

    Version: Comodo Internet Security 5.10

    Pros

I switched to Comodo when ZoneAlarm had problems with a new update. Once it runs it works well, but takes some getting used to. (Except when it wakes up grumpy)

    Cons

It isn't always user-friendly. Especially when confronted with things like "sandbox" and "quarantine" and one has to make a choice and one soesn't know what these choices mean and one can't figure out what the concequences are... It makes one feel a little lost.

Every now and then, I start my computer and then my account and everything is sluggish, syruppy slow. And after a few minutes the little windows start popping up: Comodo doesn't recognise any file, not even the most basic of files. And it won't remember any answer either, and withing seconds a bombardment of little windows pops up on my screen. Frantically I try to close them all so I can give an order to restart the computer (since it doesn't react to anything as long as a Comodo-window is open), but it takes forever before I get that chance. After restarting everything is fine again (except for my mood)

    Summary

I think I will go back to ZoneAlarm. I like to have a say in the choices that are made. Once it runs it runs smoothly (most of the time) but I still am not sure of some of the choices I made. It's a bit like groping in the dark

    "Excellent Security Suite"

    November 4, 2012  |   By Pbo4

    Version: Comodo Internet Security 5.10

    Pros

-#1 firewall on the market according to Matousec
    -Great proactive protection with Defense+
    -Sandboxing
    -Fast reaction
    -Very low system resources
    -Free

    Cons

-First time scanning takes some time

    Summary

This suite is the best out there with all of its features. Nothing gets in with all its layers of protection. If you get by the antivirus, the Defense+ will likely get you, or it will isolate you from the rest of the system with its sandbox feature. You will probably find some not so great online reviews about its virus cleaning ability, but I will take the best prevention any day ahead of anything else. This is simple logic, if a program fails to detect something, why should I trust it to clean it.

    "Defective software bordering on malware"

    October 7, 2012  |   By bullywug

    Version: Comodo Internet Security 5.10

    Pros

    Fast & responsive
    Nice looking
    Pleasant install process

    Cons

    False Positives
    Inability to correct false positives

    Summary

Falsely identified Simply Accounting as a virus. No way to correct programs mistake. Forced to uninstall. Disappointing as I would have liked to keep this program but if it's unreliable and falsely identifying popular accounting software as a virus then I can't trust it's results at all and the inability to correct the programs identification mistakes is mind numbingly stupid. What a waste.

    September 7, 2012  |   By Andrei19977

    Version: Comodo Internet Security 5.10

    Pros

Defense+ almost bulletproof. Sandboxes anything not whitelisted by comodo. Has excellent detection rate.

    Cons

Slow virus scans. Defense+ can be too good, false positives can be annoying.

    Summary

This Can offer almost perfect security to the experienced user, I would not recommend this to inexperienced users do to Defense+ alerts can become confusing.
