Version: Comodo Firewall Pro 3.0.25.378
"Almost too strong plus forgetful for the everyday home user."
Pros: Installs easily and "auto-learns" your most used applications upon initial start-up.
I think IMHO that this firewall is best suited for small businesses. A little too "strong" i.e.(constant pop-up warnings) for my home use.
Cons: Several things... Doesn't like to be un-installed. CONSTANT and ANNOYING pop-up warnings even in installation mode.Hard to navigate GUI took a few tries just to find running and recognized applications. After un-installing Windows Firewall still says Comodo firewall is still installed even though I made sure all Comodo files were deleted.
IMHO try Zone Alarm or PC Tools Firewall they are alot more user friendly and have SPI,(Stateful Packet Inspection) needed for wireless connections.

If you have Comodo version 3 (the latest) then you will get something called Defense plus.
When you have this defense plus enabled then you do get many pop ups when installing new programs or opening up certain applications, I can also agree that Comodo doesn't always remember rules that it supposedly has learnt
You can of course disable this Defense plus facility, but if you do you will actually significantly reduce the firewall's leak protection.
So it's not true to say that all the bad reviews are lies, quite a few that I have read actually reflect my own experiences.
Comodo could be an excellent firewall, but it needs to sort out its Defense plus and leak protection before I can wholeheartedly endorse it. -

Yes you can disable the rather annoying Defense Plus feature, however even the makers of Comodo have admitted that it you switch off Defense plus you will lose much of Comodo's famed leak protection.
I did like Comodo, but the Denfense plus IS driving me crazy, but I also want the leak protection.
I'll be switching to online Amour when I get the time to install it. -
Okay, Smoaky - I hope you don't mind if I enlighten the readers that might like this utility. If Defense + is driving you crazy, then disable it or set it to training mode in the consol.
Just using the firewall and forgetting about Defense + will put you way ahead of almost all other software firewalls(except the geek mode variety). Perhaps Smoaky has a favorite process guard he would rather use, doesn't mean the rest of us should condemn the quality of the firewall. -

I did not give this program a bad review. 3 stars is above average.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and everyone's computer system is different.
I only stated the facts based on my own personal experience.
Personal criticism of someone else's review does not help others decide on whether to try out a program or not. -
the pop ups only come the first time a program is used. I use Comodo Firewall and i have no problem. i dont know about the installing part, but all these bad reviews are lies.
