I did not have huge expectations when I first read then downloaded this program. What fun I had though after installing. Very intuitive and easy to use â?? gratification was almost instant. Have used this program for work and at home with positive results â?? and had fun at the same time. Would recommend this program for just about anything.

Cleanly programmed app with lots of functionality. Rarely seen another app with this lot of fun potential. This is a candidate for app of the year or Apple's design awards. Just great!

"Worth buying a Mac just for this app :)"

Really well designed, intuitive, easy-to-use, fun. Just plain brilliant. And... the price? Are they serious?! Way cheap.

Suddenly, photos that were complete rejects are getting used because they have comedic value.

    "Just Plain FUN!"

    Summary

Every once in a while you find an application that fires on all cylinders. After 5 minutes with Comic Life, I was hooked. I was having fun, playing, smiling, and creating finished products that made other people happy. Comic Life turns your iPhoto library into dynamic narratives in the form of comic book pages. It is incredibly easy and fun to use.

Probably even MORE impressive is the developers' website, where they intimately interract with their users and respond to suggestions and problems with lightning speed. So, what you get here is a quality product paired with positively responsive customer service.

    You CAN'T miss.

"Quite simply, the coolest, most enjoyable app I've..."

    Summary

    ...seen in years!
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Every once in a while, a piece of software comes around that simply blows you away. Comic Life is that software. Its concept is so basic that you wonder why nobody thought of this sooner, and its execution is so elegantly simple that you realize this could only have been developed on the Mac, and only then by a talented team that "think(s) different".

Since seeing Comic Life for the first time last week, I was blown away with the potential of this application. After playing with it, I was blown away by its intuitiveness and simplicity. When introduced at $40, I thought it was a great deal. In the week since its introduction, the developers have been working diligently on improving the application, and have issued two updates (1.0.1 and 1.0.1b). They have also dropped the standard license fee to $25, which makes it a no-brainer as far as a purchase.

Don't be fooled by the name. Comic Life is an ideal solution for all sorts of projects: Comic Strips, Scrapbooking, Greeting Cards, Family Newsletters, Step-By-Step Guides, ComicBlogs, Satire/Parody, and even Video (think of using this with a "pan-and-scan" photo-to-movie application and iMovie).

Professional designers: put this in your toolkit alongside Photoshop and Illustrator, and your possibilites are wide open.

Built-in integration with .Mac (dot-mac) makes this an ideal solution for those with .Mac accounts.

plasq's Comic Life is to images what Apple's GarageBand is to music: extremely fun, easy to use, and jaw-droppingly inspirational.

    "A RARE Fun Program!"

I can't remember the last time I found a fun program like this. It's simple and takes very little time to learn. A bit quirky, but you can quickly get good control over the software. I suggest using Photoshop with this tutorial: http://www.markhaldane.com/tuts_ps/comic.htm to get true comic book quality output!!! I hope everybody enjoys this as much as I have! ---chris
