"DON'T DO IT!!"

Easy to build a "basic" site

If you are in the business of selling products and care about your customers finding you with your product name/image, THEY WONT BE ABLE TO!!! The software just carelessly renames your images in the build so google will never find your product image. I called Coffeecup support and was told I have to build a separate website using their website designer and load my images there as well. Are you kidding me?!?!?!?

Coffeecup has many good products...this is not one of them. For the price I expected a better one but most of the functions in this program are fixed and and over-automated. The only way to change them is to buy the shopping cart designer pro for another 89 bucks. If it really was a pro software program then the designer program should be integrated into it to make it worthy of $129 price tag.
It is very easy to use especially for someone who has never used this kind of software. Adding, deleting or editing your products can be quick and once your ftp is set up, you can publish the site in a flash.
There are several bugs that an update would fix. The biggest one being that you are not always returned to the category you are working on when adding, deleting or editing items. Also the price box is loaded with $0.00 and you must delete that before putting your price in. The skew is automatic which is convenient but if you only want a 3 or 4 digit skew then you must delete the preloaded skew on every new item to input your own. It doesn't recognize your skew setup, only the count.
The themes are very limited and you must pay 9 bucks per additional theme if you don't like what's included.
The items cannot have multiple choices unless each choice is the same price or is an increase in price. Example: Set of 3 items for $10...cannot set up 'purchase items separately' in shopping cart because sold separately the items would be less than $10 so you must start with lowest priced product then offer the set in the shopping cart at an additional cost or list the set as a separate item.
There is not an option to set up all items in a category similarly. Example: You want all the items to have the option to allow the shopper to choose quantity. You have 100 items, so you must go to the options page for each and every item and check the box "Let buyer choose" [quantity].
There are not a lot of shopping cart stand-alone software programs available and if you can put up with these issues while using the trial then you may be somewhat happy with your purchase. But there are a lot of online programs for a lot less.
