"Simply Amazing."
Version: CoffeeCup Free HTML Editor 9.3
Pros
Was amazed to find this software after trying other disastrous HTML editors, such as Aptana. As long as you know how to code in HTML/XHTML/DHTML, this nifty piece of software can help you along the way!
Cons
Only Con I have found so far is that you have to pay for some Content, but you still get a lot for a Free HTML Text Editor, which is exactly what I was looking for, a better replacement for Notepad++ for HTML.
Summary
Bottom line is, this is amazing free software, I had spent a while searching the net and decided to give this a go, and I am glad I did, other software just don't cut it. CoffeeCup helps assist you when writing code, and the preview works well, unlike some other packages I have tried before. Most importantly, it supports HTML5, and has all of the resources for it too, great as my Uni Project is going to be created from HTML5. I couldn't of asked for a better HTML Text Editor, remember that its NOT a WYSIWYG editor which does everything for you!! You actually need some patience to learn HTML or some skill in using it.

"Works well"
Version: CoffeeCup Free HTML Editor 9.3
Pros
Straightforward interface, familiar operation having used previous versions for a few years.
Cons
Seems to hang sometimes when validating using W3C (using Vista 64-bit, DSL, Quad-core Pentium).

"This is not a bad HTML editor and it's free"
Version: CoffeeCup Free HTML Editor 9.1
Pros
It's completely free and it's pretty good...
Cons
The interface is quite bulky feeling
Summary
I would rate this in the middle to upper middle of the pack. I just can't get over the interface, it just looks a bit dated but it does the job...

"Really pretty darn good."
Version: CoffeeCup Free HTML Editor 9.1
Pros
I was looking for a good HTML editor and this has some pretty powerful features and does simplify coding as well as make more accurate.
Cons
It would be nice if the WISIWIG ability was greater but that is how they seperate this product from their paid version so I find that understandable.
Summary
Definately worth the download and implementation. For HTML editing, you can't get much better even from a paid product.

"Basically an ad for the paid version"
Version: CoffeeCup Free HTML Editor 9.1
Pros
nothing much
Cons
WYSIWYG editing not available in free version
FTP upload process cumbersome
Difficult to change file name for upload
See below for more detailsSummary
No WYSIWYG editing, so If you aren't familiar with writing HTML code, this is not for you
Adding FTP server locations is more complicated than necessary, and you can't add servers or directories on the fly while uploading a file.
You can't change a file name for upload without first saving it on your system, meaning considerble cleanup after if you've worked on several pages.
All in all, more cumbersome and less functional than FrontPage Express or many other free HTML editors.
I know it's free, and I tried it to get a feel for it before considering the paid version. Even free software should have basic functionality, not just be an ad for the paid product.
Not a good reflection on the provider.
