Pros: Works great, just install them and open and play video.

Pros: If you follow the other reviewers' instructions you won't get saddled with scumwear.
Cons: Crashed Windows Media 11.
Summary: Didn't work on my XP SP3 machine. I tried to view a DVD and it crashed Windows Media 11. I tried several times with the same results. read more

"Works great - Uncheck the 2 toolbar boxes and download."
Pros: Great encoder/decoder. Allows my computer to play DVD movies/documentaries - works just like Power DVD - but its FREE.
Cons: The program tries to trick you into downloading two toolbars/browsers and acts like you have to. Just ignore the comments, uncheck both boxes and downloaded anyway.
Summary: Program doesn't have it's own player - need Windows Media Player, Real Player or equivalent. To view which players you have available open My Computer, right click on DVD Drive, and click on autoplay. A screen will appear which show you which compa... read more

"Works fine, but installs toolbar"
Pros: Plays the media I need
Cons: Wants to install toolbars
Summary: By default, you are consenting to a couple of browser toolbars, which I find a nuisance. To avoid this, choose the "expert" option and unselect the toolbars on the first screen. read more
