This web development app seems to have most of the essential tools for web development. It has a great interface that is easy to use.
Cons
If only this app would work with JQuery. I do a good amount of JQuery at work, but Coda's preview does not support it.
Summary
Coda is great for those who are just started web design/programming. Its interface is nice and simple. I use Dreamweaver quite a lot, and this app works well with it, along with html/css. You can change the code font for easier readability and preview updates quickly. Publishing is super easy. Overall, Coda is probably one of the best web development tools out there for the mac.

As long as they keep making an awesome IDE. I love how well put together this application is. It's development, the way you expect it to be on a Mac.
Cons
I'm sure I could come up with a list of things I would change, but in general there aren't any major cons.

If you're doing any kind of web development Coda is definitely worth a look.

"Coda REALLY needs to get 2.0 out the door."

Pros
Great interface and awesome FTP layer for editing remote files. Great syntax highlighting. Great CSS editor built in (I still edit CSS by hand).
Cons
The CODA wheel is getting squeaky waiting on 2.0 (almost 2 years now). Needs to move the file tabs to the side so that you can have more visible open windows. Did I say that CODA was getting long in the tooth and could appear to be a dead product?
Summary
I would start looking at other editors. I think Panic is focusing too much on other projects and CODA has probably moved into the "good enough" category for them. The sad thing is I get more feature updates from BBEdit than I do CODA.

Clicking on the "Download Now" link takes me to the "Thank you for downloading" page saying that the download will start in a moment. But instead I get the error message below. Clicking the link for trying again if it doesn't start automatically gets the same error.

I develop and maintain several websites, one with 150+ pages, using Coda. Coda provides all of the tools I need to develop the web pages, including support for multiple sites and excellent support for css. If I need to change content across all of the pages of a site, the find and replace feature is fast and accurate. Coda's support is good, but sometimes a little sluggish to respond. However, this has never created a major issue, because, at least in my experience, the software is responsive and stable with no major bugs. One problem: sometimes files get marked for updating when no updates have been made, but that is really a minor issue. If you need a WYSIWYG tool, Coda is not the one for you. iWeb, part of Apple's iLife, is excellent for this and actually provides very good WYSIWYG tools, even for small businesses in many cases, but not all. -

As a tool for managing day-to-day changes to sites, it's invaluable. It offers easy access to the files, with a local and remote file repository, terminal access to servers, color-coded code, and a wealth of great resources in the library.
Cons
Changing configurations to adjust to changes can be a little more tedious (having to reopen the site). It took me a while to figure out that I could open multiple windows for different sites, but that's my own lack of intelligence.
Summary
If you're a developer looking for a better way to work, this could be the solution. It's a great integration of tools that work with industry standards and best practices. No crazy markup from some company that decided they know how to 'fix' code.
