"Great tool... if you could get it"
Version: Cocktail 3.7.4
Pros
Has a ton of great features for Mac OS X. I've had it for ages. I have the authorization code for v. 3.4.9 I recently performed a clean install of Tiger in my MBP and I want my Cocktail back!!! Please!
Cons
CAN'T DOWNLOAD IT FROM CNET/Download. ***!!! I can find the description page for all previous versions, but if I click the download button it automatically downloads the NEWEST version. I DON'T WANT THE NEWEST VERSION! I want version 3.7.4 - compatible w/ Tiger. Why can't I download load it?!? Am I a complete idiot? Is the download button right in front of me? How can I get a previous version of Cocktail? C'MON!

"A 'must have'"
Version: Cocktail 5.1
Pros
Frequently updated; easily interface; and a necessary application to keep my Mac with JOY!
Cons
None that you don't set into motion, yourself
Summary
There are a few app's that I've had in my arsenal for years: Coctail; DiskWarrior; Disk Utility; and Applejack. I'm yet to find a situation I cannot resolve among these app's. Cocktail makes a streamlined Mac, easy.

"My favorite"
Version: Cocktail 5.0.1
Pros
Cocktail like the OS specific versions. Using versions now for 10.4, 10.6 and 10.7. Having been using it for years and it has never caused a problem. Wide range of features and the easy to use Pilot.
Cons
None for me.
Summary
Makes Mac maintenance easy and safe.
-
"Fine program if you can get to it."
Version: Cocktail 5.0
Pros
MAny. Set it up and let it run under the Pilot settings
Cons
Not many however the author is rather late to the rodeo getting the program ready for Lion.
Summary
I do not utilize an Admin Password and you cannot now (under Lion 10.7.1) access the program w/o entering a Password. This is the only program I have ever encountered that will not allow you to do this. For me, I need a workaround to continue using the program and I'm a previously satisfied, registered user.Fix the Admin Password issue and I will return.

"Very good at what it does. Needs and update."
Version: Cocktail 5.0
Pros
Very slick interface. Helps get more control over the necessary system maintenance.
Cons
Still waiting for OS 10.6 compatability.
Summary
VIP utility. Needs and update.
-
"just another version"
Version: Cocktail 4.3.1
Pros
It seems easy to use and fairly complete.
Cons
Don't see anything really wrong.
Summary
This seemed to me just another version of Spring Cleaning which I already have. Quite frankly, I don't find either program all that useful enough to pay for. (although I did bite the bullet and pay for SpringCleaning). MainMenu and AppCleaner do the same jobs for free. Plus, if you dig around, your Mac will also do it for you.

"Not Jaguar?"
Version: Cocktail 4.3.1
Pros
I have not been able to use it.
Cons
I have not been able to use it.
Summary
I too was completely mislead by the description of this app. When something is just released and it lists the OS as the previous version, the assumption is that that would be the MINIMUM requirement, not the MAXIMUM. And to think it was recommended by...was it cNet? I dunno. Some online referral sent me to this never mentioning it was only for Tiger. Yet it was only added just this month? What's with that?.

"Download is only for Tiger, not usable on Leaopard."
Version: Cocktail 4.3.1
Pros
Never got to try it
Cons
Works on Tiger 10.4 only
Summary
None of the description mentioned the app only works on Tiger (10.4) and won't install on Leopard (10.5) Misleading, and a waste of time and resources to download.
