Editors' reviewThis simple application manager promises to remove clutter in your desktop, although several features, including a much-needed help file, don't function well or at all. After you start Close All Windows, it docks itself to your system tray. Either by double-clicking the icon or pressing a set of hot keys, users can close all open windows. Luckily, the program will prompt you before closing programs with unsaved work. Otherwise, this application failed several tests. Users can set a filter by which you can exclude those windows you don't want closed, although during our tests the filter failed. Clipboard clearing is another feature that failed our tests. Overall, any user wanting to easily manage open windows may find this application useful, but you might be disappointed when the extra features don't work.
The 'Close all Windows' tool automatically removes all the many windows accumulated during working on the PC. 'Close all Windows' " is a small program, which resides in the system tray (next to the clock) and can be activated by a simple click or by a fast hotkey. The "Window-Closer" tool closes the windows (and programs) in contrast to the Windows icon, which just minimizes the windows.
Additional to the 'Close all Windows' functionality you get an additional delicacy.. The Clipboard Cleaner (or Format-Remover). The cleaner removes all the annoying formats often copied together with the text in the clipboard. The tool can be customized. You can choose your hotkeys for the two functions. And you can set up a block-list, which prevents closing certain windows like Outlook.
