The flight simulation physics implements very advanced flight model simulation, including Doppler sound effects, shadows and smoke. The graphics are simply put awesome. The models behave exactly like real RC helicopters and planes. The high quality photorealistic flying fields are stunning. Since remote control planes and helicopters are very hard to control, it takes some time to develop the coordination needed. Try and learn to fly without fear. Do not learn by crashing your expensive real RC helicopter or favorite plane. Once you learn RC flying using this program, the same skills will help you fly your real RC models better. This is the only RC simulator of such quality that supports normal game pad. Advanced RC flyers can use radio transmitter with USB adapter.
Version 4.0 added RC Plane simulation and new planes; Demo and Replay flights capabilities.

Version: ClearView RC Helicopter Simulator 4.0
"If you fly RC models, this is the program to download."
Pros: This is the only quality RC flight simulator that does not require proprietary controller. I learned to fly rc helicopters with ClearView. Adding plane simulation makes this great program even better. The program is easy to install and run. I get 135 fps on my dell 8600 notebook and the image quality is very good.

Pros: When you inevitably uninstall this demo, it removes completely.
Cons: A system drain. When you run the program the computer freezes for about 2 minutes. When it finally loads the response time for the chopper is horrible and the demo is unplayable, not to mention the background scenery is merely a still low quality image. Awful. I couldn't believe how long it took to load up, and I have a 2.6 ghz P4 with 2 gigs of RAM and a Radeon 9600xt card. Don't waste your time downloading.
