"I have used this on more than one computer with no probs"
Version: CleanUp 4.52
Pros
Allows you to choose what is deleted, quick operation and has not done anything it should not.
Cons
For people who do not know what some files mean etc, a bit of an explanation of the types of files it deletes and what they do would be good.

"I Can't download this file either from this site or the home site"
Version: CleanUp 4.52
Pros
Try it and see because it is a good program that I have used for years very successfully.
Cons
I have tried to download this file from both CNET and from the Steven Gould home page - all I get is 245kb of what is supposed to be a 332 kn file and an error message that the file is too small and cannot be installed. I have shut of my firewall and lowered or stopped other security programs. I have also used three different versions of Windows XP to try this download with the same results.

"Best cleaning software ever"
Version: CleanUp 4.52
Pros
the cleaner is not to aggressive, and doesnt delete important files... i use it often and it gets rid of heaps of junk on my computer and really speeds it up! so i would say that zane 77 doesnt know what he is on about. especially as he has only ever tried it in demo mode!

"2 Thumbs UP!"
Version: CleanUp 4.52
Pros
I was having problems with my computer when my hard drive died so I took it in to my local computer tech who put in a new hard drive, transferred my data, and included some awesome programs to keep my computer clean and running fast. This program works fast, deletes a lot of needless files that take up space and such.
Cons
It deletes all those cookies that save your information for certain websites - like automatically entering your username. That can be annoying but if it means my computers going to work more efficiently then I think its worth it. Other than that, I don't have any other problems to report.

"Excellent software!"
Version: CleanUp 4.52
Pros
Because I've been bitterly disappointed with the computers and follow-up tech support I've purchased from Dell, Compaq, and similar manufacturers over the years, I commissioned a local computer retailer to build my desktop from scratch. Now, I know every single piece of software that's installed on it, so I don't have to worry about all of the crap that's pre-loaded on a store-bought PC. Also, I have great respect for the guy who built my computer, and he recommended CleanUp, along with SpywareBlaster, Ad-Aware SE Professional (with Ad-Watch), and Spybot-Search & Destroy for protection, and I end each day by running all three programs (can't hurt), along with Norton Anti-Virus, when needed (overkill, maybe, but I feel very safe today when I log on). Another reviewer was correct in saying CleanUp is "very aggressive," but I appreciate that because I never worry about anything on this "clean" computer. Frankly, it's a joy to use, over the commercial brands I've purchased in the past, because I have reduced my computer problems to 0%. Also, not having to talk with a Dell tech person in another country is another perk to having this system, so I highly recommend CleanUp and will contiue to use it daily.

"This cleaner is very aggressive."
Version: CleanUp 4.52
Pros
When I clicked the clean button another window pops up. And I can run it in demostration mode, where everything works as normal but no files are actually deleted. When it finished scanning in the demo mode it showed 205856 files, and 2.9 gb freed.
Cons
So I'am glad I was in demo mode, and not in the real clean up mode. Because it would have deleted important files, and active dll's that are being used in my computer.
