Version: Classic Menu for Outlook 2007 3.5

    "No purchase necessary"

    on November 29, 2008

Pros: I was able to have classic menus without purchasing a 3rd party tool.

Cons: I was able to have classic menus without using a 3rd party tool.

Summary: I copied my PST from another computer running Outlook 2007 and, before ever opening OL for the first time, I right-clicked the start menu icon for OL and configured it to point the Data Files at the PST file I copied from the other computer.
When I opened Outlook 2007 for the first time, I had classic menus. I can't tell you how nor do I know how to restore the standard menus, but there you have it.

Where does Microsoft Office 2007 save my configuration: office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP100669141033.aspx

Outlook views, toolbars, menus or settings, etc, are stored in the OUTCMD.DAT file.

Here's a better product with more features for less money: www.pschmid.net/office2007/ribboncustomizer/starter.php
