"Can open from menu bar--but S-L-O-W!"

    February 6, 2012  |   By geneb5

    Version: Chronories 1.1

    Pros

Menu bar presence helps remind you to write an entry.

    Cons

It takes SO LONG to get going, I've forgotten what I wanted to write!

WHO NEEDS its "Mood bar chart," "Local Weather Pie Chart," "Applications used bar chart," and even a "Contacts pie chart???" All these smiley faces and nonsense remind me of the godawful TIVO interface, when all I really want or need is for the app to Get the hell out of my way!

Tech support says it has no plans on speeding it up.

    Summary

As a diary-entry program, it seems quickly available so you can write a fast entry--but it's hobbled by all its time-consuming, cutesy, useless "features."

"A complete log of your computer life, and a diary!"

    August 3, 2011  |   By todhop

    Version: Chronories 1.1

    Pros

Simple, efficient and mostly automatic, this app gives a big return with minimal effort. Chronories requires almost no user intervention while while doing its job. Developers are responsive and helpful. They just added a feature I requested!

    Cons

Nothing is perfect, but this is close. I am confident that improvements can be made in it's ability to format and manipulate data output, but this is an app that already does more than I would have thought of myself.

    Summary

If you live a computing life and want to keep a history and diary, this is the app.
