Version: Chikka Txt Messenger 4.03
Pros: Sends SMS messages without any lag. Able to receive SMS on your PC. Very light on the system resources. Free daily SMS which is more than other free services out there. It's FREE!
Cons: Program is ugly and server occasionally disconnects. Just a small and limited amount of free daily SMS (20-30 per network). No new version yet. SMS doesn't get through on some networks.
Summary: It's the best FREE SMS Service I could find. You can send SMS through chikka.com, and you could always download the desktop version if you don't want to open your browser.I hope newer versions would bring better GUI and support to more networks. More... read more

"A ploy to get your personal information"
Pros: None to think of since it doesn't work!
Cons: This program will want everything from your telephone number and email to your name and birthdate. Not to mention, it doesn't work! You will also get tons of spam on your phone and email.
