"Mouse wheel and command keys work!"
Version: Chicken of the VNC 1.3.6

Great product! Fast and doesn't consume too my CPU. I couldn't get VNC Thing or VNCViewer to correctly use the mouse wheel or the command keys. This worked right out of the box. Like other commenters, I did have to turn off the ZLib options. -
"COTVNC brings home the beef!"

Wow. I'm a long time user of Timbuktu and was very unhappy that they made me buy two copies to allow server-client control. Was I surprised today when I VERY quickly found, downloaded, installed, configured, and used COTVNC on my server (just a garden variety G4 tower) and laptop. Just a quick trip to the firewall to open port 5900 and I was good to go. What could be simpler and cheaper (free). No learning curve whatsoever!
Long live open source! -
"Freakin' Awesome!"

There cant' be a simpler, easier-to-install, more idiot-proof program out there. In tandem with OS X VNC, this little app has solved a HUGE problem for us in accessing our office Mac from home. Email was our only need... now we have full remote access to the system. Amazing! Apologies for the VNC-newbie blustering, but we're just REALLY PLEASED to have found this!
The only issues we've had so far: the default fullscreen key-combo works on our iBook G3 (10.2.8) but not on the iMac G4 (10.3). To get out of fullscreen mode, we have to force-quit. Speed is also not fabulous, but we're willing to blame that on the crappily implemented university LAN where the host is located (I mean, how much more optimized can a program of only a few hundred kilobytes get, anyway?) -
"No save connection or menu command for open??"

Would just like to be able to open a saved connection and also be able to use Command O for open. Seems very week in this area. -
"works great!"

works great on my ibook 800, os x 10.2.6.
unfortunately, it is not possibly to switch between fullscreen and windowed mode on german keyboards/keyboard-layouts because of the special character "´". the switch-command should be something like apple+f...
but anyways, good work! -
"Faster than VNCThing but doesn't seem to work with..."
Version: Chicken of the VNC 1.3.6
Summary
...3.3.7
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
While it appears to lack bookmarks, it does appear to be faster than VNCThing which I've been using. Works great talking to my servers which run VNC 3.3.6 but will not connect to our file server which is running WinVNC 3.3.7 from RealVNC but works fine with servers running WinVNC 3.3.6 from RealVNC.
When I try to connect to 3.3.7 I get "Zlibhex unknown subencoding 127 encountered".
VNCThing 2.2 works fine with either 3.3.6 or 3.3.7.
