Despite a somewhat counterintuitive design, this program makes a capable CD burner. When we first launched Cheetah CD Burner, we were surprised to find the pane for exploring our PC on the right and the contents of the new CD on the left. We're used to seeing such programs arranged the other way around.
The application can burn data and audio CDs at speeds of up to 40x, and we appreciate having the option to add files to a project by simply right-clicking them. You also can make a boot disc or copy an entire CD. Clicking the Settings tab lets you finalize your disc and use buffer control. The CD ripper encodes files in both MP3 and WAV formats and can access an online database for track and album information. The program also has tools for extracting audio from AVI video clips and converting audio files among such popular formats as MP3, WMA, and OGG.
The Cheetah Web site currently has a deal offering the app for free, if you post a link back to their Web site. All things considered, we think Cheetah CD Burner makes a fine choice.

Enhanced features include shortcuts to your favorite folders, as well as different file-view settings such as thumbnails for viewing photos. You can burn CD-R and CD-RW discs, burn audio CDs (WAV, MP3, MP2, AVI, OGG, and WMA), burn data CDs and ISO images, create ISO images, erase CD-RW discs, rip audio from music CDs, retrieve album information from audio CDs, copy data CDs, copy audio CDs, and automatically verify data.
Version 3.5 has an improved user interface, and some bug fixes.

"One of the most easiest, quickest, powerful cd burners created in the world."
Pros: This software is better then most cd burning utilities, it doesn't take its time converting files like Windows Media Player, and it doesn't take its time verifying files like Nero. It takes no time at all to setup and it has an easy to use interface, pretty simple, nothing hard about it. It's an easy to use cd burning utility, average file size for downloading, and burns almost as fast as a cheetah.
Cons: The only thing that I find might be hard to adapt to for new users that are stuck to automatic media browsing is you'll have to search for media manually. It's easy to do, you'll just have to find out were the destination of your file is. You mind just find what you think you lost on mistake when you use this tool.

Pros: Absolutely wonderful product, and I will reccomend it to anyone. The ease of use makes it extremely nice with just a simple drag and drop creation design.

"Your software of choice if you're allergic to DVDs"
Pros: Cheetah CD Burner does exactly what it says - burns CDs - and it does it good. For a bargain price of $15 you get a full-featured software for burning data CDs, ripping and converting audio, as well as burning CD images (a pretty rare feature, believe me). And that's not all - you can actually get this great piece of software for free - if you really want it, and can work to show it. And I'm telling you this from my own personal experience: A good, full-featured burning software that you can legally get for free virtually doesn't exist. So if you need a complete CD burning solution, you have 3 options: 1) Pay as much as $80 for a software package that burns CD among 20 other things (that you'll probably never need done); 2) Download Cheetah CD Burner now; and 3) Spend a month looking for a better solution, give up and download Cheetah CD Burner :)
Cons: There's this weird glitch that prevents me (might be something specific to my system) from seeing some text in the Settings panel, but even if you encounter it, the help files explain all the options;
The lack of DVD support might make this version obsolete before long (check out the Cheetah DVD Burner).
