From David J. Hinson :Find the cheapest gasoline nearest to where you are, then map a route to where the cheap gas is. Cheap Gas features price timestamps, all grade prices displayed, sort by distance or by price, locate stations by device location or by postal code, interactively search by postal code, distance to station displayed, ability to refresh stations without restart, ability to update grade pricing, and ability to record new stations.

Version: Cheap Gas 2.02
Pros: It uninstalled cleanly.
Cons: Too many confirmation dialogs - clunky to use & dangerous while driving. It is not map-based (like GasBag). Selecting a station to get a map is putting the carriage before the horse since you need the map to know if you care about the station.
Summary: GasBag is a free alternative that blows this app away.

"Nice app, but no offline capabilites"
Pros: Works reasonably well for my location, pinpointing the various local gas stations and their prices.
Cons: No offline capabilities severely limit iPod Touch utility. Program exits with no message if internet connnection can't be established
Summary: It would be very, very nice if, in the situation where you don't have an internet connection, the application displayed the last downloaded prices, and their timestamps. As it is, the program instantly quits instead. Since I have an iPod touch but ... read more >>
