    "Excellent, no-brainer to use ..."

    Pros

    This makes changing extensions a breeze. You could always go into Windows Explorer,tools, folder options, etc. and change default settings, but why bother. Keep the file name simple and clean

    Cons

    What's not to like?

    Summary

    It does what it's supposed to. Right-click on a file, a line in the dialog box identifies file type, click on that to change. No muss, no fuss.
