This release for all Radeon family products updates the ATI Display Driver to version 8.231. The unified driver has been further enhanced to provide the highest level of power, performance, and reliability. The driver supports 24 languages. The Catalyst software suite 6.3 includes ATI Multimedia Center 9.13, HydraVision, HydraVision Basic Edition, WDM Driver Install Bundle, Remote Wonder 3.0.3 and the Southbridge/IXP driver.

This release of the Catalyst introduces an enhancement to the Overlay Theater mode found in the Catalyst Control Center. This enhancement allows for higher resolution than the current desktop setting to be available for the Overlay Theater mode. Also introduced is the Avivo Video Converter, a transcoder tool that provides a quick and easy way of converting videos from one format to another. The Avivo wizard found in the Catalyst Control Center allows the user to select the input file and output format, along with the quality level and file location.

Version: Catalyst Radeon Display Driver with Catalyst Control Center (Windows 2000/XP) 6.3 (03/08/2006)

"Solid and Smooth"

Pros: ATI always releases stable drivers to support their Radeon cards, as a Radoen owner I find the newer versions to only get better.

Cons: You will always find something wrong with new software but they are always usual minor things that barely effect daily use, if any.
