This release for Radeon family products updates the ATI Display Driver to version 8.082 and includes the Catalyst Control Center, which is only available for the ATI Radeon 9500, 9600, 9700, 9800, X300, X600, X700, X800, or X850 series. The unified driver has been enhanced to provide the highest level of power, performance, and reliability. The driver supports 24 languages.

Release 4.12 provides improved Half-Life 2 performance of up to 20% over Catalyst 4.11 in certain sections of the game. New features include improved driver efficiency for Direct3D and OpenGL games, a new Problem Report Wizard in the Catalyst Control Center, and Overdrive 3.0,, which allows users to manually set the graphic and memory clocks, while still protecting users from causing damage to their graphic cards. This package also includes ATI Multimedia Center 9.03, HydraVision 3.25.0006, HydraVision 3.25.9006 Basic Edition, WDM version 4.07, Remote Wonder 2.5.1, and the Southbridge/IXP driver.

"Much Better than ATI Control Panels..."

Summary: If you have a fast and reliable computer with an ATI card, these drivers are a MUST. Try to install it, but look out to not remove any system file !

"ati drivers suck"

Pros: good cards

Cons: pain in the ass to get the right drivers to make the card work.
