    "Great product, especially for schools"

    June 12, 2009  |   By shawnsurma

    Version: Casper Suite 6.0

    Pros

does exactly what they say it does, great customer service, new version is a huge improvement and they say another verison is on the way with even more improvements.

    Cons

cost is the biggest con. If they could keep the cost down we would have gotten it sooner.

    Summary

If you need to manage more than 10 macs, get this suite, it is a Great Product.

    "Zenworks for OSX"

    May 3, 2006  |   By gnowosad

    Version: Casper Suite 3.2

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Finally OSX has a affordable network management tool for imaging, inventory, script deployment and OS customizing and monitoring. Open sources solutions are great and free but nothing beats a well developed software package that you can't afford not to have. Great job guys. Keep up the great work. Thank you for supporting educational institutions.

"Great product for inventory, software distribution..."

    May 2, 2006  |   By pvaneykelen1

    Version: Casper Suite 3.2

    Summary

    ...and remote access
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This product contains a set up sub parts that all work together to create a great product.

Recon: Allows you to inventory both PC's as well as Mac's including hardware and software information.

Casper: Allows you to create "packages" of software to remotely install on Macintosh computers. The latest version of Adobe, no more running around adding the software to each system, it all happens remotely. It even modifies your dock or adds printers.

Casper VNC: A VNC client used to remotely acces the Mac computers.

In previous versions documentation was sorely missed, which has been rectified with the latest revision of the software. After the initial learning curve the application is easy to use and works great for 5 or 500 computers in one or multiple locations.

The product is very resonably priced compared to other products doing similar tasks. Also the company has an active user group which provides feedback and the company is very responsive to suggestion from it to implement improvements and additional features.
