Version: Carrara 7 Pro 7.1.1.37
"Non-intuitive interface, unstable"
Pros: Good modeling capability,workable animation
Cons: Unstable, crashed several times. Unintuitive interface. Poor terrain editing capability. Lack of shaders in downloads makes this version very hard to evaluate. Animation is very basic.
Summary: Limited animation capability, terrain modeling is very basic. Stronger on static modeling of non-natural objects. This release is not stable and crashes, so frequent saves are required. A lot of money for an unstable software package. read more

"Anybody can Animate with Carrara Pro 7"
Pros: The most intuitive CG animation program ever created. Carrara feels more like a 'film set' & less like a CG animation tool. Free models supplied by Daz3D allow even a first time user the ability to jump in & create fantastic renders and animations.
Cons: It's not Lightwave.
Summary: If you're looking to start animating or rendering then this is the app for you. The character controls work in a much easier manner than Poser and the tons of free content make this program a must have. Whether you are a seasoned pro or an instant am... read more
