Version: Capture NX 2.2.0
"hands off"
Pros: The user surface looks very very nice.
The name Nikon sounds very appealing.
Cons: Massed up my doubble Monitor (Vista)! found no way to recover.
Wants to be online: wonder what for?
My dinosaur "Arcsoft Foto Studio"
has more possibilities (just compare the menues)
I kicked out the trial version after 4 days.

It's software primary to be used with .NEF files, which is a Nikon specific format. No better software available to edit .NEF files than Nikon Capture. If you shoot .NEF and have no clue about WB and EV, NC will fix it for you.
If you was expecting to do your TIIF's and / or JPG's, than Photo Shop is a much better solution (although much more expensive)
About your double monitor in Vista; well...I too use Cista (Home edition) and double (extended) monitors. Installation was a snap and no trouble what-so-ever.
