Canasta is a strategy game that offers an interesting challenge for anyone who likes to play card games (see screenshot). You can play against the computer or against another person. You can even play on ICQ. The goal of canasta is to win by melding cards and by making canastas. A canasta is a column of seven cards of the same rank (such as seven kings). If you are unfamiliar with canasta, a Help file with explanations of all the rules is included.

Version 4.16 has many small improvements and bug fixes in the network play.

Note: In this version, you can play as many hands as you like for as long as you like, but the cards you are dealt start repeating after 10 hands. The price of the full version is $14.95. Pay once, and you are entitled to unlimited free upgrades and unlimited network play.
