    "Get with It Already"

    September 11, 2011  |   By MacGuffin

    Version: Camino 2.0.8

    Pros

It's no worse than it was.

    Cons

It STILL doesn't have an auto-complete feature.

    Summary

I've been using Camino for years and used to love it. FWIW, it still manages cookies better and more flexibly than any of my other browsers (I use Firefox and Safari most often) and I don't find that it's prone to crashing. However, I don't dare delete anything from History because I risk having everything wiped and the lack, after all these years, of an auto-complete feature is nothing short of idiotic (I believe I read once that the developers' rationale was something along the lines of "wanting it to be stable" first). I'll continue to use it, mainly for its handling of cookies and because I think using several browsers is wise, but I haven't actually recommended it in years. This "update" brings nothing of interest to the table.

    July 26, 2011  |   By prospere

    Version: Camino 2.0.7

    Pros

Easy to use and does not overwhelm when operating.

    Cons

    Trouble getting a few sites.

    Summary

Has most of what I need in a browser and I would recommend it to anyone that has no need for the ultimate add-ons...

"Excellent when it does not lock up."

    July 13, 2011  |   By markomdmph

    Version: Camino 2.0.7

    Pros

Even more convenient than Firefox; a more efficient version of Firefox for those of us who like programs lean and clean.

    Cons

Locks up whenever more than 4-5 tabs are open at the same time.

    Summary

    1. Very convenient and efficient.
    2. Locks up too often and I, a very long term Mac user, have been unable to figure out how to correct the problem.

    "I love this"

    February 26, 2011  |   By volkswagenpantech

    Version: Camino 2.0.6

    Pros

Fast, Easy, Simple, Light weight, works with Keychain, Pop-up blocker/ad-blocker,spell checker.

    Cons

Seems kind of out dated compared to firefox and safari.

    Summary

I really liked firefox but my friend who has a pc found a way to get my passwords even though i had the password thing on. I like how fast and simple this is and it doesn't freeze as often as some of the other browsers that I have used. I would recommend this to anyone who has a mac. It would be nice if it had ad-ons for youtube downloaders and ad blockers, It does ok blocking ads but there are some that it misses.

    December 22, 2010  |   By megaloch

    Version: Camino 2.0.6

    Pros

have not noticed any advantages except that, being new, it is less cluttered than my Firefox.

    Cons

(above) and When I press Finderin the dock I get another Camino unwanted pop-up. and in most cases I was trying for another app. Could not use it as a default browser either

    Summary

stopped using Camino. Several days ago I sent a Complaint to Camino but received nothing explaining the problems on my Imac.

"Camino is notably faster than Safari and Firefox."

    November 7, 2010  |   By Jeffs Autobahn

    Version: Camino 2.0.5

    Pros

The speed is simply a pleasure

    Cons

Some websites, like LeftLaneNews have hyperlinks that just appear as blank spaces, and that's a problem when it's in the middle of a sentence and the word just isn't there.

    Summary

If it weren't for the hyperlinks problem noted above. This would be my default browser. The speed and stability are exemplary. This compatibility problem that keeps it from getting 5 stars.

"An ideal quick browser for Macs"

    November 4, 2010  |

    Version: Camino 2.0.5

    Pros

I was looking for a quick-to-load browser as my Mac won't run Google's Chrome. Camino seems to be a good adversary. Loads quickly.

    Cons

Haven't been using it too long so haven't found any yet

    Summary

Any Mac users like me whose machine won't run Chrome can download Camino free. It's fast and suits my needs. Recommended
